Nicole Wendel's work “Notation of Time” # 10 is dealing with fields of time and temporality. It is one work from the series of studies in which measurable time is negotiated as the basis of a two-handed drawing process and temporality is examined in the form of spatial structures. In the work “Notation of Time” two temporal components were related to each other. Through a filigree regular structure that measures the sheet exactly, a one-minute, two-handed diamond pattern shimmers. Nicole's drawings live from the recording of direct movements in space and a high level of concentration with which the first scratches are condensed and precisely composed.
 
Nicole Wendel (*1975 in Karlsruhe, GER, lives and works in Berlin) studied at Universität der Künste /UdK in Berlin and was Master´s student with Professor Leiko Ikemura. Nicole works on timeless topics in a complex manner, connecting drawings and performances and making the processual and ephemeral relational. Her work was shown in a large solo exhibition at Goethe-Institut Paris and are represented in public art collection of Rheinland Pfalz.
